Might have been nuts. Probably never actually received a lobotomy. Kurt Cobain named his daughter after Frances McKee of the Vaselines, not Frances Farmer, although he did write the song Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle (Drowned Youth: Part V).
